As we begin to ponder the idea of starting a family, or even if we are already actively trying, one of the most important things we can do is begin to prepare our body for pregnancy by nourishing it with clean, healthy, fertility boosting foods. This delicious smoothie is packed with clean, plant based protein, healthy fats, calcium, manganese, zinc, folic acid, and vitamins A, E, C, and B6 which are all essential for fertility in women, as well as for overall health!
INGREDIENTS:
  • one large handful of organic baby spinach
  • one large handful of organic baby chard
  • one large handful of organic baby collards
  • one large handful of organic baby kale
  • 1/2 organic apple
  • 1/2 - 1 cup (depending on how thick or thin you prefer your smoothies) of organic almond milk
  • 1 avocado
  • 2 tbsp raw almond butter
  • 2 tsp chia seeds
  • filtered water
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 3-4 frozen strawberries
  • ice (optional)
DIRECTIONS:
Place all ingredients in a Vitamix or blender and blend until smooth. You can add more filtered water or almond milk to adjust the consistency. Enjoy!
